Briceland, Mary Jane (22 Feb 1947 - 9 Dec 2002)

Mary Jane Briceland, 55, Owen, formerly of Greenwood, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to 1 p.m. funeral services on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Clark County Health Care Center Chapel. The Rev. Tony Ring will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Ben Curtis, Larry Fagan, Ed Gregorich, Jim Gregorich, Tom Gregorich, John Gregorich and Taylor Gregorich.

Mary Jane Gregorich was born on Feb. 22, 1947, in the town of Warner, to Matt and Katie (nee Klapatauskas) Gregorich. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1965. She moved to Milwaukee to work. She married Martin Briceland on Feb. 8, 1969, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. They later divorced. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She entered the Clark County Health Care Center in June 1990 and resided there until the time of her death. Her interests included arts and crafts.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Mike) Kuhn, Waukesha, Kris Hansen, Chippewa Falls, and Cathy Briceland, Eau Claire; one grandson, Justin Kuhn; her mother, Katie Gregorich, Greenwood; one sister, Kathleen (Gary) Kurtz, Hales Corners; three brothers, John (Marilyn) Gregorich, Waunakee, Edward (Colleen) Gregorich, Stoughton, and Jim (Mary Jo) Gregorich, Greenwood; one brother-in-law, Larry Fagan, Withee; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, Matt Gregorich, and one sister, Christine Fagan.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
