Kolano, Sandy D. (17 NOV 1948 - 16 OCT 2002)

Sandy D. Kolano, 53, Neillsville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. Mary Anne Conklin officiated. Music was provided by Eileen Zank, organist, and Jodi Rueth, soloist. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Gelander, Mark Schultz, Jody Kolano, Jason Kolano, Jeff Kolano and Julie Kolano.

Sandy Miller was born on Nov. 17, 1948, in Neillsville, to Albert and Mildred (nee King) Miller. She married Bish Kolano on April 8, 1967, at the Methodist Church in Neillsville. She was a lifelong resident of Neillsville, and she worked for many years at the Farm Service Agency.

Survivors include her husband, Bish Kolano, Neillsville; three sons, Jody (Amy) Kolano, Portage, Jeff (Lora) Kolano, Edgar, and Jason Kolano, Neillsville; one daughter, Julie (Tim Fick) Kolano, Menomonie; two grandchildren, Nicole and Molly Kolano, Portage; three brothers, Albert (Nancy) Miller, Cincinnati, Ohio, Donald Miller, Thorp, and Duane "Joe" (Dorothy) Miller, Marshfield; and two sisters, Delores Genteman, Marshfield, and Judy Grap, Neillsville. Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Mildred Miller; one brother, Bruce Miller; and two sisters, Barb Oldham and Pat Hagen.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
