Henry Johnson was born in Norway in 1853. He came to America in 1866, to Dane County, Wisconsin. In 1870 he came to Trempealeau County. In 1871 he came to Greenwood, his present location, where he has since lived. He was married in 1882. Until 1886 he was a common laborer. He then learned the barber's trade and started a barber shop and confectionery store, in which business he is still engaged. He also edited the "Greenwood Headlight" for a short time. He is doing a good business.


*Both Henry and Lena Agnes (Hendrickson) Johnson are buried in the Greenwood City Cemetery, Greenwood, Clark Co., Wisconsin.
