Tokarz, Stanley (10 Jan 1916 - 27 JUN 2004)

Stanley Tokarz, age 88, of Lublin, died at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, on Sunday, June 27, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Father Philip Juza will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and at church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Stanley Tokarz was born on January 10, 1916 in Lublin, WI, the son of Joseph and Mary (Urbanik) Tokarz. He was raised and educated in the Lublin area, and after completing his education, worked in the C.C.C. camps in Wisconsin. Stanley was inducted into the U.S. Army on August 1, 1945 and received his honorable discharge on August 6, 1946. He returned to Chicago, where he worked as a laborer in area factory's and as a garbage man. He retired in 1978. On September 22, 1979, Stanley was united in marriage to Mae Juskiewicz in Chicago. They moved to Lublin where they resided until the time of his death. Stanley was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Lublin American Legion Post #547, and enjoyed working with his hands.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mae, of Lublin; two children: Mary Lee (Harold) Sunken of Colorado; Stanley Tokarz of Chicago; two step sons: William (Jan) Ochab of Schaumburg, IL; Joseph Ochab of Wheeling, IL; one step daughter Maryann Ochab of Chicago; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Anna Smietna of Chicago; Sophie Wienski of Montello. WI and one step brother, Frank Vanczek of Sparta, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Joseph, John, George and Rich; one daughter, Nicolette Tokarz and one step son, Frank Ochab.
