Augustine, Fred (16 March 1891 - 1962?)

Fred Augustine, 71, of Colby, Wisconsin, died Monday morning about 6 a.m. at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, of complications of old age.

Funeral services will be held today, March 14, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Green Grove with the Rev. Jerome Wohlfiel officiating.

The body lay in state at Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby, beginning yesterday morning.

Mr. Augustine was born in the town of Green Grove March 16, 1891. He received his education in local schools and lived his entire life on a farm near Atwood, except the past two years, which he spent with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Augustine, of the town of Green Grove.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mr. Augustine, who never married, is survived by three brothers, John, of the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen; Albert, of Colby; and Ernest, of St. Paul; and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Sophie) Burkhardt of Thorp. He was preceded in death by a brother, William, and a sister, Ida.
