Former Area Resident Dies

Abbotsford - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Colby for Donald Hardrath, 53, Delavan, a former Abbotsford resident who died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine following a stroke.

The Rev. Bervie A. Scott, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Visitations May be made at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby.

Mr. Hardrath was born Dec. 30, 1918, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, and was married in Madison, July 5, 1952, to the former Jean Miller, who survives him. He spent 17 years in Chicago in the employment of the Andies Candy Company. In 1968 he came to Abbotsford and resided there until a short time ago when he returned to his occupation at the Andies Candy Company in Delavan.

Other survives include a brother, Allen, Woodburn, Ore.; a sisters, Mrs. Lila Frane, Colby; and his mother, Mrs. Mable Hardrath, of route 1, Curtiss.

Hardrath, Donald (30 Dec 1918 – 24 Nov 1972)

Funeral service were held Tuesday November 28, 1972 at the Methodist Church, Colby, for Donald Hardrath, 53, Delevan, formerly of Abbotsford, who died Friday, November 24, 1972 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine.

Mr. Hardrath had been in the hospital since November 9 after suffering a stroke while at work at the Andies Candy Factory in Delevan. The fall left him unconscious until death.

Pallbearers were Harold, Harley, Stevie and Delbert Hardrath, Duane Neuman and Uno Phillips.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Lila Frane of Colby, and a brother, Allen Hardrath, Woodburn, Oregon. His mother, Mrs. Mabel Hardrath, Route 1, Curtiss, also survives.
