The marriage of Miss Elsie Ziebell daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ziebell of Loyal, to Mr. Irvin Koplien son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koplien, of Arpin, took place Monday, Feb. 16, ay 6:30 o’clock in St. John’s Lutheran church, Auburndale, under an arch erected near the altar and decorated with pink and white crepe paper. The Rev. S. E. Radtke performed the double ring ceremony.

Mrs. S. E. Radtke at the piano played Wagner’s "Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" before and after the ceremony.

Miss Leona Hartfield and Miss Emma Budtke served as bridesmaids and the groom was attended by Paul Zieball and Ernest Kowalk.

The bride wore an ankle length white satin gown, and a rhinestone headband, and carried a bride’s bouquet of white carnations. Miss Hartfield was dressed in an ankle length blue crepe dress and Miss Budtke wore a light green crepe and both carried arm bouquets of pink and white carnations and ferns.

Following the ceremony a wedding reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents and covers were laid for 100 at the 8 o’clock dinner. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Ziebell of Loyal, Miss Leona Hartfield and Paul Ziebell of Waupaca, and Ernest Kowalk, Unity. Mr. and Mrs. Koplien will reside on a farm northeast of Arpin.
