Potter, Belle (22 DEC 1852 - 7 Jan 1931)

Mrs. Belle Potter of Loyal passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Jan 7, 1931.

Mrs. Potter was born in the Town of Trenton, Washington County, December 22, 1852. At fifteen years of age she came with her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Shafer, to Sheboygan County, which was her home until she was united in marriage to Frank D, Potter of West Bend, Washington County, April 18, 1885.

They then came to Clark County where Mr. Potter had purchased a farm in Town of York, where they made their home until the fall of 1916, when they rented their farm to their two sons, Wayne and Harland Potter and bought a home in Neillsville, at which place Mr. Potter passed away February 6, 1917.

Mrs. Potter is survived by her two sons, Wayne of Granton and Harland of Neillsville and five grandchildren. Also one brother of St. Paul and five sisters namely: Mrs. Will Owens of Neillsville, Mrs. Della Lyons and Miss Roda Shafer of Loyal, Miss Lois Chaney and Mrs. Henry Robecker of Sheboygan, Wis.

Mrs. Potter was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a kind and helpful neighbor, beloved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were at Lowes funeral home at Neillsville where the remains were taken from the Eau Claire hospital.

Services were conducted by Rev. Longnecker, Saturday at 2:00 P. M. Jan 10, 1931. Interment was in the Neillsville Cemetery.
