Hannah, Hale (2 Feb. 1916 - 12* Jan. 1934) * Could be off.

Funeral services for Hale Hannah, 18 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hannah, Mineral Point, formerly of this city, whose death occurred Friday morning following a coasting accident Thursday, were held in this city Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Schiller Funeral Home. Rev. P. B White conducting the rites.

Hale was born in the Town of Weston Feb. 2, 1916 and lived in this community until four years ago when his parents moved to Mineral Point to engage in the hotel business.

Hale was a youth of good character and cheerful disposition, highly spoken of by all who knew him. As a member of the Boy Scout troop here he won the loyalty of his fellow members and developed a keen knowledge of the outdoors which he loved. It was his enthusiasm for sports that led to his untimely passing. He had gone out after supper Thursday to coast down hill and in attempting to avoid an automobile steered into the ditch, striking a rock which ruptured his stomach. He was taken to the hospital at Dodgeville where he was operated on, but failed to rally and died the next morning.

He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Ernest who lives on a farm near Christie and Wilbur of Minneapolis.

Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery with members of the senior Boy Scout, to which he belonged acting as pallbearers.

Those from out of the city who were here, beside the immediate family were: Mrs. C. M. Hunt, Minneapolis; Miss Louise Auliffe, Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. E. J. Roethe, Fennimore; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Behrens and Mrs. Fred Behrens, Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. George Iffland, Humbird.
