Dillenbeck, Harold A. (26 Mar 1922 - 8 May 2005)

Harold Albert "Dilly" Dillenbeck Sr., 83, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, surrounded by his family members. He had resided at the Health Care Center for the past five years. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, May 13, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, and from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Burial will be in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mark Toburen, David Toburen, Tim Rondorf, Bob Dillenbeck Jr., Scott Henchen, and Ryan Dillenbeck. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Jeff Rondorf, Dean Rondorf, Ron Henchen Jr., Dan Dillenbeck, Chet Dillenbeck, and Wade Dillenbeck.

Harold Albert Dillenbeck was born March 26, 1922, on the family farm in the twon of Eaton, to Roger and Dorothy (nee Spranger) Dillenbeck. He graduated from Greenwood High School In 1939. He married Margaret Einfeldt on Dec. 26, 1941, who preceded him in death in 1984. They farmed on the family farm until moving to Greenwood in 1981. He also was employed by Barr’s Mink Ranch and Grassland Butter. He married Marion Meyer in 1986, and they later divorced. Family and friends will remember him as an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing ball with his children. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and attended games when he was able.

Survivors include four daughters, Carole (Delmain) Toburen, Greenwood, Marjorie (Charles) Rondorf, West Bend, Joanne (Ronald) Henchen, Eau Claire, and Debra (Skeeter) Larson, Marshfield; five sons, Roger Dillenbeck, Eau Claire, Robert (Denise) Dillenbeck, Neillsville, James (Sue) Dillenbeck, La Crosse, Harold Jr. (Kathy) Dillenbeck, Greenwood, and Rick (Joy) Dillenbeck, Robinson, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grand children.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Margaret; his parents, Roger and Dorothy Dillenebeck; a granddaughter, Jackie Toburen; and a grandson, Michael Toburen.

Memorials May be directed to the Greenwood Athletic Booster Club. Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
