Scherer-Speck

An April marriage ceremony was performed for Miss Evelyn Speck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Speck, Abbotsford, and Francis W. Scherer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer, Greenwood, at St. Bernard's Catholic church on Saturday. The 8 o'clock nuptial rites were read by the Rev. John Novak.

Attendants of the couiple were Miss Cecilia Scherer and Eldred Speck.

A blue swagger suit with navy accessories and a shoulder coursage was worn by the bride. Her maid of honor was dressed in a frock of the old rose shade, and navy blue accessories, and also wore a shoulder bouquet.

Dinner was served at the house of the bride's parents after the service. Out of town guests who attended the church service and were entertained at the home were Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer and sons, Raymond and George jr and daughter Cecilia, and Carol Asplin, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denk, Sheboygan Falls; and Miss Audrey Anderson, Abbotsford.

On May 1 when Mr. and Mrs. Scherer will return from a short wedding trip, they will welcome their friend at their home in Abbotsford. The groom is an Abbotsford cheesemaker.
