Gretzner, Eva D. (11 JUN 1930)

A very pretty June wedding was held last week Wednesday, June 11, at 2:30 in the afternoon, when Miss Eva Dorothy Gretzner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gretzner, Town of Beaver, and Arthur E. Wolfe, Town of Loyal, were joined in holy wedlock. The marriage took place at the Ev. Lutheran church in this village, the Rev. H. F. Leschensky performing the ceremony. The church was decorated with a large arch in the colors of white, yellow, orchid and green. A large crowd attended the services.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin and silk lace and wore a long veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of yellow roses, baby breath and ferns.

The maid of honor was violet Gretzner, sister of the bride, who wore yellow georgette. The bridesmaids were Mrs. E. J. Schultz, sister of the bride, who wore green chiffon and Mrs.. George Foelsch, sister of the groom, who wore orchid chiffon. The attendants of the bride carried bouquets of roses and other flowers.

The best man was Paul Wolfe, brother of the groom. The groom and the best man wore navy blue suits.

Berdeen Luther, cousin of the bride was flower girl and was dressed in yellow crepe, carrying a basket of flowers.

Lavern Luther, of Marshfield, a cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. He carried the ring on a pillow of ribbon and lace.

The ushers were the Misses Amy Fehr of Bloomer, Wis.; Lynda Howard of West Bloonfield; Elsie Henseler, Loyal and Helen Kunz of Fall Creek, Wis., all friends of normal school classmates of the bride.

Immediately following the ceremony a large number of friends and relatives attended the reception at the bride’s home, which was beautifully decorated in White, yellow, orchid and green.

The bridal couple left on a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, Milwaukee, Fond du Lac and other places. And on their return will be at home to their friends on the groom’s farm in the Town of Loyal.

The bride is a charming and accomplished young lady and the groom a deserving young man. They have a wide acquaintanceship and large number of friends here who with the Tribune wish them many years of happy wedded life.
