Yeager, William 'Wild Bill' A. Sr. (18 June 1928 - 10 Feb. 2005)

RIB LAKE - William "Wild Bill" Arthur Yeager Sr., 76, of 979 Front St., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Memorial Health & Rehabilitation Center in Medford under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The Rev. Ron Kowalski and Deacon Paul Ochodnicky will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Bill was born June 18, 1928, in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Joseph J. and Dorothy (Gardner) Yeager. He married Fern M. Brooks in 1950. She died in 1972. He later married Violet Spillner on Oct. 20, 1973, in Medford.

He owned and operated a juke box business and also worked at various jobs in Dorchester and the Medford area.

Survivors include his wife, Violet; two daughters, Kathy (Robert D.) Neubauer and Valerie (Wade) Haynes, both of Medford; six sons, Robert (Debbie), Donald and Gordon, all of Medford, James (Faye) of Dorchester, Wade (Theresa) of Rib Lake and William A. Jr. (Lori) of Stetsonville; seven stepchildren, Theodore Neubauer Jr., Harriet Pautz, Robert D. (Kathy) Neubauer and Allan Neubauer, all of Medford, Theresa (Charlie) Zassenhaus of Dorchester, Paul Neubauer of Utah and Joan (Pete) Faber of Marathon; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Wappler of Wisconsin Rapids and Sarah (Emil) Bryan of Nekoosa; and two brothers, Richard (Betty) of Tennessee and Charles (JeanAnn) of Mexico.

Friends May call from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake is assisting the family.
