Knack, Otto C. (10 SEP 1925 - 19 MAR 2005)

Otto C. Knack, 79, King, formally of Weyauwega, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Appleton Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, at the Main Chapel, King. The Rev. Jerome Taddy and Rev. Bertin Samsa, OFM Cap. officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega.

Otto C. Knack was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Ferndale, Mich., to Otto and Nora (nee Lange) Knack. He married Frances M. Lorge on June 14, 1959, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Following their marriage, they lived in the Appleton area before moving to Weyauwega in 1970. He worked for the Weyauwega Plumbing and Heating until retiring. He was a veteran of World War ll having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Arndt-Bruley American Legion Post #176 and the VFW Post #10407 in Weyauwega. He was a former member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Weyauwega. He enjoyed fishing and reading. In 2004, he became a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, where he was a member of the military honors detail and firing squad.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, King; two sons, Paul (Cynthia) Knack, Janesville, and John (Sarah), Knack, Port Orchard, Wash.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Lila) Knack, Bryanstown, Md., and Milton (Joan) Knack, Loyal; and a sister, Eleanor (Perry) Stishman, Billings, Mont.
