Leach, Inga (13 JAN 1887 - 24 Augl 1928)

(bad micro-film - paraphrasing necessary for some of this obit)

Mrs. Frank Leach died at the Iola Hospital, Iola, Wis., Friday morning, Aug. 24th, 1928, and one of the twin daughters born that morning died also.

The body was taken to the undertaking parlors and prepared for burial and the funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, the pastor of the Scandinavia Lutheran Church officiating. He spoke in a very comforting manner to the bereaved ones and in answer to that question "why?" which we always ask at a time like this. He gave the Master’s answer, in John 13:7, "What I do thou knows not, but thou shalt know hereafter."

Inga Wanstadt was born in Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., Jan. 13, 1887, and was 41 years, 7 months and 11 days of age at time of death. She grew to womanhood here and was liked by those who knew her.

She was married June 24, 1907, to Frank Leach at Hurley. Eleven children were born to them, four of them, all girls, preceding the mother in death, and 6 sons, Lawrence, Lyle, Frank, Andrew, Elmer and Kenneth, and one daughter, Inga Betsy, with her husband, survive her.

They lived at Kimball, Wis., until this spring when they moved onto a farm at Iola, Wis.

The sweet mother voice is stilled and the loving hands are folded, but her clear presence will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. When one thinks of Inga Leach, her ? seems almost a synonym for faithfulness as mothers are and should be. Her life blessed those about her and maybe that is why her work was done so early and rest came. May God bless and comfort the bereaved hearts is the wish of their many Dorchester friends.

Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her loss five brothers, Edward, Kimball, Ben, Thomas, William and Louis, Dorchester, and four sisters, Mrs. Paul Weiher, Almond, Anna, Mabel and Bertha, Dorchester, all of which were present at the funeral. Besides these Mr. Leach’s brothers, Ward, Elcho, Jay and family and their daughter and husband, and Mrs. Coleman Hoffman of ? were there and from Dorchester, Mrs. A. Sorenson and daughter, Mrs. Anna Peterson, and Mrs. Ed Sorenson.
