GEORGE DICKENSON, PIONEER DIES THIS MORNING

George Beale Dickenson died of complications at his home a 1:00a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, after an illness of three months. On Feb. 18, Mr. Dickenson would have reached his 74th birthday. The body will lie in state a the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, until Saturday afternoon when funeral services will be conducted there, internment will be made in the Colby Cemetery. George Dickenson was born Feb. 18, 1867 in Waukegan, Ill. When a small boy his parents moved to Wausau, where they resided for a few years and then homesteaded a farm in the Town of Wien. Some time later they moved to a farm east of Colby. On March 18, 1890 George Dickenson and Miss Jennie Cramer of Colby were united in marriage and made their home on the farm where they have lived since that time. To them were born three sons and two daughters. Mr. Dickenson is survived by his widow and the five childern: Leslie Dickenson and Mrs. George (Nina) Drumm of Wausau, Renold of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Henry (Birdie) Wiese of Colby and George who lives on the home farm. Twenty-one grandchildern also survive as well as one brother, Earl, of Milwaukee and two sisters, Mrs. A.L. Cramer, of Venice, Calif and Mrs. August Strebe of Abbotsford
