Happe, William (16 SEP 1893 - 9 Augl 1977)

Chili, Clark County, Wis. - William Happe, 83, Chili, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili, the Rev. Frank Heinbaugh officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends May call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton from 2-9 p.m. today and until noon Thursday.

Mr. Happe was born Sept. 16, 1893 in Lomira. He moved with his parents to the town of Fremont, Clark County in 1900, and married Charlotte Albrecht in Chili June 30, 1920.

They farmed until 1942 when they moved to chili to operate a grocery store until 1962.

He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Rowene) Tanner, Eau Claire; one son, W. Ronald Happe of Chili; three sisters, Miss Alma Happe, Miss Elda Happe and Mrs. Albert (Irene) Lindow, all of Chili, and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one son.
