w/flag OWEN - Jens "Eddie" Edward Miller, 84, of Owen, died March 22, 2004, at his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Nazareth Lutheran church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 pm. today at the church. Maurina Funeral Home in Owen is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born Dec. 26, 1919, in rural Withee to Andrew and Jennie (Hilsteadt) Miller. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Eddie and Versal Poppe were united in marriage on July 19, 1958, and they were later divorced. He farmed in the town of Hixon until moving to Owen in 1976 and was employed by the Withee Feed Mill.

Survivors include three daughters, Hope Miller, Owen, Denise (Ed Berger) Miller, Schofield, Kathleen (Ronald) Rowley, Racine; son, David (Vickie) Miller, Springtown, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Thomas (Ellen) Miller, Bull Shoals, Ark.
