ABBOTSFORD - Alvina Laabs, 93, of Abbotsford died Dec. 25, 2004, at Inn Care in Abbotsford.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 8, 2005, at Black hawk County Inn Banquet Hall in Owen. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss.

She was born March 14, 1911, in the town of Green Grove to Henry and Rose A. (Brecker) Awe. She married Albert Laabs Jr., on May 28, 1932, and he predeceased her. She was a homemaker and farmer.

Surviving are her sons, Alfred (Harriet) Laabs, Colby, Milton (Yolanda) Laabs, Gillett, and Marlyn (Priscilla) Laabs, Marshfield; daughters, Jeannette Geffke, Minneapolis, and Joanne Laabs, Withee; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and her sisters, Alma Harper and Ruth (Alfred) Molle.
