The Family of William & Amanda Johnson

Wm. Johnson was born on the 15th day of May, 1863 in Finland. He came to America and settled in the town of Beaver about 35 years ago, but spent some years traveling and living in other parts, before.

 

About the year 1900 he was united in marriage to Amanda Johnson, who died in 1918. To this union was born two children, Carl H. Johnson and Mrs. Chester Herbert, both of the town of Beaver. Both survive him. There are three grandchildren who also survive him namely: Leland Herbert, Wesley and Hugh Johnson.

 

Just ten months ago the deceased met with an accident which left him in poor health. On Oct. 9, at 12:30 p.m. he was taken with a slight stroke and died of hemorrhages at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 10, 1929 giving him the age of 66 years, 4 months and 26 days.

 

Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 1:00. Internment was made in the Loyal Cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. Geo. Otto, John Nelson, Herman Litka, Adolph Gretzner, Lyle Cooy, and Herman Sell.
