Catherine E. Klundt, age 80 of Portage, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at her daughter's home.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage, with Fr. John Hedrick presiding. Inurnment will be private. Friends May call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11a.m. The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.

Catherine Klundt was born on May 24, 1924 in Neillsville, Wisconsin the daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Lazotte) Hartung. She was married to Clarence Klundt on August 23, 1947. Catherine was church secretary at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah, Wisconsin for 15 years. She enjoyed quilting and stained glass. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.

Survivors include her four children: Dick (Tip) Klundt, Layton, Utah; Barb (Jim) Regan, Portage; Mary Klundt, Neenah; Paula (Jerry) Iversen, Neenah; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Klundt, Neenah; six grandchildren: Maryann Van Ausdall, Cathy (Matt) Higham, Annie Regan, Erik Iversen, Stephanie Iversen, and Jacob Iversen, a great-granddaughter, Devon Van Ausdall; two sisters: Margaret Feckhelm, Abbotsford, WI; Helen (Ivan) Kroneberger, Marshfield; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Lazotte Hartung and Joseph Hartung; her husband, Clarence; her son, Tony and a sister, Rose Langreck.

In lieu of flowers memorials May be made to Home Health United Hospice or American Cancer Society.
