W.H. Rowe left for the woods last Thursday.

Neighbors and friends held a bee to cut wood for the benefit of John Redmond last week. His son Elmer, who recently died, was his only support. Mr. Redmond being old and feeble and unable to do the work alone, the kind friends and neighbors see that he has all the aid that May be necessary.

On Tuesday evening of last week the young people met at the home of Charlie, George and d Josie Vick and enjoyed themselves to their heart's content.

The M.E. Church gave a sociable for the benefit of Rev. S.A. Hoffman the same evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Graves.

The young people are bound to keep things moving in York.

Philip White and wife, of the Town of Loyal, visited A.E. Garvin and wife Thursday.

Mont Morran left for Michigan, Friday to stay for the winter.

Miss Mina Metcalf has gone to reside.

A.W. Hales transacted business at Chili Saturday.

Rev. L. Allen, of Loyal, occupied the pulpit in the Center Church Sunday.

Mrs. Annie Beatler, of the Town of Lynn, was the guest of Mrs. E. Grabe the past two weeks.

Elwood Gergin and Miss Laura Grousbeck, both of this place, were married at Granton last week.

Wm. Mortimer, W. Graves and C. F. Vick, each delivered a load of hogs to Neillsville Saturday.

Johnnie Seivers and M.C. Redmond are reported quite ill.

John Corzett transacted business at Loyal last week.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Al Garvin, Sunday, Nov. 18th, a boy.

Miss Anna Hales visited relatives at Granton the past week.

Great attraction at the P.O., Amos says, especially when pop corn is on the program.

Al Turners's new brick veneered house is completed.

Wm. Rowe and T.H. Garvin did the carpenter work; they are peers in that line and cannot be outdone by anyone.

Frank Klinke and Frank Kubat did the mason work and can't be excelled in that department.

Al has one of the finest residences in York now.
