G.S. Rowe made a run to the city on his wheel Wednesday.

Mrs. Frank Potter returned from Sheboygan County Friday.

Ernest Kihn came up from Neillsville Friday after his best girl to take in the military ball.

Frank Snyder came out from Shortville last week nursing a very sore thumb. Be careful Frank how you fool with the girls.

On Tuesday evening of last week a large crowd of young people assembled at the home of Misses Blanche Windover and Mae Peterson and indulged in a lively time. They all enjoyed the fun and at a late hour went home with the expectation of repeating the occasion in the near future.

A poor old tramp, a fair sample Democracy, was begging through here last week.

Johnnie Castner has been dangerously ill the past two weeks with typhoid fever but is slowly on the gain.

The Republican meeting last Wednesday evening was well attended and the way Mr. Jacques handled the tariff question was satisfactory to every one present.

J.C. Marsh, of Spokeville, and C.H. Sheldon, of Thorp, were present and judging from the hand shaking at the close of the meeting makes us believe in a grander Republican victory in York than ever was known.

Mr. Emma Hosley, of Lake Benton, Minn. is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Redmond.

Mr. Raymond, of Weston, came over Sunday evening.

Miss Mae Peterson contemplates going to Montana soon.

Geo. Root left for Fond du Lac County yesterday. He was called there by the serious illness of his father.

Oscar Hall, of Glebulah, Sheboygan County, is the guest of S.D. Gibson.
