Lindow, Esther (24 JAN 1898 - 12 Sep 1970)

Chili, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel United Methodist Church for a former Chili resident, Mrs. Arthur Lindow, 72, Westfield, who died Saturday at Westfield.

The Rev. L. L. McCormick, pastor, officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery. Funeral services were also conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Westfield.

Pallbearers were Paul and Forrest Foemmel, Franklin and Melvin Bandt, Floyd King and Phil Schilling.

The former Esther Schilling was born Jan. 24, 1898, in the town of Fremont, where she also received her education. She was married Oct. 4, 1916, at Chili to Arthur Lindow, who survives her. The couple operated a farm in the town of Fremont until 1947, when they moved into Marshfield. In 1948 they moved to the Pine Lake Methodist Camp where she worked as a cook until retiring in 1960. Since that time the couple resided in Westfield.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Otto Hasz, Granton; Mrs. Wilmer Draheim, Marshfield; and Mrs. Julius King, Grand Marsh; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, two brothers and an uncle.
