Zimmer, Jeffrey (1 Nov. 1956 - 23 Feb. 2005)

OWEN -Jeffrey Zimmer 48, Owen, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at United Methodist Church in Colby. Burial will be in St. Paul's Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery in Curtiss.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from noon to service time Saturday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Jeff was born Nov. 1, 1956, in Johnson City, N.Y., to Ransom and Phyllis Zimmer. He served his country from 1976 to 1978 in the U.S. Navy. Jeff and Susan Schultz Mrotek were married on July 2, 1988, at her parents' home in Dorchester. He worked as mechanic, owning and operating his own car repair and sales. He also worked as a farmer and at Weather Shield Manufacturing.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Susan Zimmer of Owen; mother, Phyllis Zimmer Bynes of Owego, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Beth Mrotek, Curtiss, and Heather Mrotek, Wausau; two grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Doug (Brenda) Zimmer, Owen, Jack (Yvonne) Zimmer, Owego, N.Y., Rosemary Zimmer, Conklin, N.Y., Marge Patterson, Marshfield, and Steve Zimmer, Owen.

Jeffrey Zimmer, 48, of Owen died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at his home. He was a mechanic, owning and operating his own car repair and sales, and was employed at Weathershield Manufacturing. Jeff served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Susan Zimmer, Owen; mother, Phyllis Zimmer Bynes, Owego, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Beth Mrotek, Curtiss and Heather Mrotek, Wausau; two grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Doug (Brenda) Zimmer and Steve Zimmer, all of Owen, Jack (Yvonne) Zimmer, Owego, Rosemary Zimmer, Conklin, N.Y., and Marge Patterson, Marshfield.
