Moser, Frederick (10 Sept. 1853 - 15 Dec. 1932)

Frederick Moser, was born in Landiswil Canton Bern Switzerland, Sept. 10, 1853. Here he grew to young manhood. On Feb. 4th, 1882 he was united in marriage to Anna Marie Ramseier. Two years later, in 1884, he came with his wife to America, settling in Green County, Wis. For the following ten years he was engaged in cheese making at various places of that county. Mr. Moser, then moved with his family to Columbia, Clark Co., Wis. Being one of the early pioneer farmers settling there. In 1919 he sold his farm, spending the following year in Cloverdale, Oregon, returning again to Wis., in 1921, making his home in Neillsville. On account of failing health of late years he has been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Christen, near Humbird; where he passed away Dec. 15, 1932, reaching the age of 79-3-5.

Surviving him are his wife and four children: Robert of Neillsville, Wis.; Frederick of Rockford, Ill.; Marie, Mrs. F. J. Mietzke of Toledo, Washington; Emma, Mrs. Arthur Christen of Humbird, Wis. One child preceding him in death. Seven grandchildren.

Besides his immediate family he is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, all living in Switzerland.

It was the privilege of Mr. and Mrs. Moser to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary on last Feb. 4.

Funeral services were held at the Reformed Church in Humbird, on Sunday afternoon. Dec., 18, the pastor, Rev. V. D. Weidler preaching the burial sermon. Interment was made in Mentor Cemetery.
