Buettner, Lucretia (1881 - 23* Sept. 1932)* Could be off

The community was deeply shocked Friday when it was learned that Mrs. William F. Buettner, of Christie had died suddenly of a heart attack. Although Mrs. Buettner had long been no indication that her condition was becoming more serious until Friday when death claimed her as she sat sewing.

Mrs. Buettner's maiden name was Lucretia Elma Fasender. She was born at Horicon, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Fasbender. When she was 2 ½ years old her parents moved to Colby where they settled on a farm.

On September 30, 1900, she was married to William F. Buettner of Campbellsport, who survives her. Shortly after their marriage they lived at Park Falls and later at Wausau, where Mr. Buettner was engaged as a millwright. A few years ago they took up farming near Christie.

Mrs. Buettner was a woman of much personal charm, a devoted mother and particularly interested in lending a helping hand to others through her interest and activity in the Congregational church. For a number of years Mrs. Buettner has been one of the Press most valued correspondents, writing the Cawley Creek items.

She leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Otto M. Schultz of Globe and four sons, Everett of Hazelhurst and Lloyd, Carrell and Russell at home, and four brothers, Albert Fasbender at Arvada, Wyo., Emil of Colby, Frank of Fifield and Corvin of Big Horn, Wyo., and seven grand children.

The funeral services were held at the Congregational church Tuesday, Rev. G. W. Longenecker having charge of the rites.
