Bragg, Elaine Wilhelmina (19 Feb. 1940 - 18 Jan. 2005)

ABBOTSFORD - Elaine Wilhelmina Simnacher Bragg, 64, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at her home after a four-year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 22, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m., Friday at Maurina's Funeral Home in Abbotsford.

Elaine was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Littlefield, Texas, to Frank and Ida (Jungman) Simnacher. She taught home economics and served two years in the Peace Corps in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Elaine married Jim Bragg in her home town of Pep, Texas, on Dec. 29, 1969. They moved to Wisconsin and began farming southeast of Dorchester in 1971.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Colleen, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Brook (Jim) Holmes, Grafton, Lee, Abbotsford, David, Green Bay, and Ryan, Madison; her three brothers and two sisters, Albert (Patsy) Simnacher, Hereford, Texas, Harriet (Texas) Jones, Wagener, S.C., Ralph (Linda) Simnacher, Atascosa, Texas, Gerald (Missy) Simnacher, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mary (John) Davis, of Stevenson, Wash.
