Amo, Oliver (2 MAY 1853 - JUN 1925)

Oliver Amo was born in Quebec, Canada, May 2, 1853. He came to the United States in the year 1877 and for many years lived at Black River Falls, Wis., later moving to Dorchester, Clark County, and for a number of years was a prominent figure in the charcoal kilns, and also engaged in farming on the farm now owned by Mr. Tischendorf, one mile north of the village. For the past nineteen years he has made his home at Park Falls with his daughter, Mrs. Frank Chriske.

In 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Odile Olingy and to this union ten children were born, eight of who survive him.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Frank Chriske, Mrs. George Teeters and Mrs. Louis Steiner, of Park Falls, Mrs. Arthur Muir, Joseph and John, all of Kenosha, Albert Amo of Medford and Wilfred of St. Paul.
