Mrs. Gerhard Erlei died at the home of her son, Henry, at Medford, Wednesday Oct. 10th, 1923, after a short illness.

She had consulted doctors at Chippewa Falls and Marshfield and finally came to the Medford Clinic but as nothing could be done to help her, she was taken from the Clinic four days before her death to her son's home.

The remains were brought to Dorchester her old home, and services conducted from St. Louis Catholic Church last Saturday. Rev. Anna Schreckenberg was born in Germany, Sept. 7, 1843 and was married to Gerhard Erlei in 1868.

Fort one years ago they immigrated to the United States, coming to Dorchester country, where they resided on a farm until Mr. Erlei's death in 1909.

Ten children were born to them, 4 of which with their father preceded her in death, and 2 sons and 4 daughters are living, Mrs. Richard Beagle, Port Arthur, Canada, Henry of Medford, Joseph of Hawkins, Caroline of Thorp, and Emma and Elizabeth of Minneapolis.

After Mr. Erlei's death she sold the farm and went to live with Caroline and in 1911 they went to Thorp where they have since resided.
