Hibbard, Wallace B. (13 Mar 1859 - 19 JUN 1935)

Unity, Wis. - Funeral services were conducted at the local Methodist Episcopal Church Sunday for Wallace B. Hibbard, 76, who died at his home west of the village Wednesday. The Rev. C. Paul Nulton officiated and interment was made in the Colby Cemetery.

Mr. Hubbard was born in Marine City, Mich., on March 13, 1859. His marriage to Miss Adeline Bogie took place at Maple Grove, Wis., on Dec. 28, 1885. Prior to coming to Unity 19 years ago, Mr. Hibbard owned and operated a hotel and livery at Reeseville, where at one time he served as mayor.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. S. P. Tennis, Unity; three sons, Elmo, Reeseville; Earl, Lake Mills; and Harlowe, Unity; three brothers, Walter and Paul, Fairview, S.D., and Eugene, Palmyra, Wis.; and a sister, Mrs. Emmett Fryer, Norfolk, Wis..

There are five grandchildren.

Mr. Hibbard was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for the past 35 years, and was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of America Lodge.
