O'Gorman, Amy J. (10 JUN 1924 - 26 NOV 2004)

Amy J. O’Gorman, 80, Greenwood, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at the Marshfield Center. There will be no services held. Inurnment will be held at the Willard Cemetery at a later date.

Amy J. Bergant was born on June 10, 1924, in Willard, to John Sr. and Margaret [nee Gornic] Bergant. She was raised in Willard and received her education at McKinley School,. As a young woman, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a nurse’s aide for two years at Mount Sinai Hospital. She then moved to Milwaukee and worked as a waitress. She married John O’Gorman in the early 1960’s in Milwaukee. After their marriage, the couple resided in Milwaukee and she became a full-time homemaker. Her husband died in September of 1993. She continued to live in Milwaukee until moving to Greenwood in 2001, to be near her sisters. Her interests included traveling, visiting with family and friends, reading, and going out to eat.

She will be sadly missed by two sisters, Julia Kile, Greenwood, and Margaret Cohara, Greenwood; one brother, John Bergant Jr., Milwaukee; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, John.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
