Tinen, John (1847? - 31 Jul 1914)

John Tinen, an employee of the Rib Lake Lumber Co., while engaged in hauling lumber for Ed Ruchmer from Gad to Stetsonville last Friday morning, was thrown under the wheels of his wagon, and had both legs crushed between the hip and knee joints when he tried to stop his team which had started before he was on the load. The accident happened at Gad at about 9:30 in the forenoon and he died about an hour and a half later from the shock and loss of blood.

Mr. Tinen is survived by a widow and two sons, both engineers on the Soo Line. He owned a farm near Greenwood, Clark County, where his widow is still living and at the time he was only a temporary employ of the Rib Lake Lumber Co. He was 67 years old. The body was taken to Loyal, Clark County last Saturday where the funeral was held Monday morning.
