Services Held For Louis Ratzburg, 71, Loyal

Louis E. Ratzburg, 71, of R. 1, Loyal died at 6:40 p.m. Sept. 19, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with burial taking place in the Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. William Humlie officiated.

Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Louis Ratzburg was born Jan. 8, 1902 in Loyal, and received his education in Loyal area schools. He was married in Sept. 1933 to Clara Schmidt, who died in 1943.

He farmed in the Town of Loyal from 1933 to 1960, from 1960 - 1969 he was a carpenter for Pathfinder Mobile Homes and recently was employed by Paul Bugar Construction.

He is survived by one son, Robert, West Bend and one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Roma) Schram, Markesan, Wis., and five grandchildren, and one brother, Elmer Ratzburg, Loyal. Pallbearers were Franklin Rueth, Paul Stumke, Richard Weyer Sr., Swede Neuman, Paul Bugar, and Leo Bugar.

Mrs. Edwin Dux and Mrs. Verland Dux were singers with Mr. Ronald Gluck, organist.

We wish to thank everyone who was so kind and thoughtful at the time of our father's death. Especially the Trinity Lutheran Church Women who prepared the lunch, Rev. William Humlie for his message, the pallbearers and everyone who came to our father's funeral. It was deeply appreciated.
