GANTHER-PEITENPOL

At an 11 o'clock service Saturday morning, Miss Letha PIETENPOL, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd PIETENPOL, Granton, was united in marriage with Clarence GANTHER, son of William GANTHER, New Lisbon.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. W. LONGENECKER in the parsonage of the Congregational Church, Neillsville. The couple were attended by Miss Elaine PIETENPOL, sister of the bride, and Lester WALTERS.

For her marriage, Miss PIETENPOL was attired in a fawn-colored wool dress and coat, with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow and white rosebuds.

The bridesmaid wore a raisin-colored bemberg sheer frock, with a corsage of baby chrysanthemums and yellow rosebuds.

After the rites, a dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, where covers were laid for 30. The centerpiece on the dinner table was a large wedding cake made by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Arthur SHORT.

The house was decorated with garden flowers, yellow and white streamers, and a large wedding cake.

The young couple left in the late afternoon on a wedding trip through the northern part of the State, and after Sept. 22, will be at home to friends in New Lisbon, where Mr. GANTHER is the owner of a service station. Mrs. GANTHER was employed in the Beauty Center in New Lisbon for the past three years.

The bride chose the silver wedding anniverary of her parents for her wedding day, and couple were honored at the celebration by relatives and friends that evening.

Mrs. Fred BARTZ presented them with a wedding cake decorated in silver and white, and they also received a purse of silver.

A mock wedding was a feature of the evening, in which Mr. and Mrs. PIETENPOL served as groom and bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur SHORT, who attended them 25 years ago, were best man and bridesmaid. John SALZER, Wausau, served as minister. Lunch was served later in the evening.
