Edgar Laux

COLBY, WIS. - Edgar Laux, 88, of Colby died Tuesday evening at his home of a lingering illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Church of Christ, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth Dix will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

He was born Jan 24, 1895 in Manitowoc County to Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Anna Kretch) Laux. He married Lydia Altenberger June 10, 1925 in Stevens Point. He farmed all his life in the Town of Colby, retiring in 1959. He also did carpentry work.

He was a member of the First Unted Church of Christ, seved on its council, and was a member of the church building committee in 1964.

Surviving are his wife, and one brother, Paul of Owen. He was predeceased by his parents, a twin sister, and a half brother.
