Shannon, Julia (14 FEB 1927)

Mr. Emil A. Wepfer, son of Mrs. Anna Wepfer of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., and Miss Julia Shannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Shannon of Lone Rock, were married at Lone Rock on Feb. 14, 1926, by Rev. Kenny.

Following the ceremony a bounteous wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, after which the couple left for Chicago on a wedding trip.

The bride is a graduate of Engelside Academy of Madison, and of Platteville Normal School. She taught in the local public school one years, during which time she has acquired many friends.

The groom graduated from the Neillsville High School in 1915 and from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1917. He enlisted in the Hospital Corps in the U.S. Navy on March 15, 1918. He spent five months at Great Lakes, four months at Gulf Fort, Miss., and was at sea for four months. After being discharged on April 30, 1919, he came home and entered into the employment of the C. C. Sniteman Drug Store until May 1923, when he bought the Loyal Drug Store.

Mr. Wepfer is a man of good character and sterling worth. Their many friends join the Tribune in wishing them a long and happy journey over the sea of matrimony.
