DEATH OF MRS. JAY HOMES AT BUTTE, MONT.

Word came on Thursday of the death of Mrs. Jay Homes, a former resident here but who lived in Butte, Mont. She died after a short illness March 21st, 1918.

Pearl Philpott was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Philpott. She was born in this village in April 1874. Here she played as a child, developed into girlhood and here she married and helped to establish a home of her own. She was married on May 25, 1891 to Mr. Jay Homes. To this union was born one daughter, Hazel who lived to be seven years old.

Seventeen years ago they moved to Tomahawk, and a short time later moved to Butte, Mont. where they have since resided.

She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband, her parents, and two brothers, J.M. Philpott of this village and George of Washington. The deceased was of an affectionate disposition and winning in her ways, so that friendships circle was to her a large one. The relatives have the sympathy of all friends in this hour of bereavement.
