Schaefer, Emma (*11 June 1868 - 27 March 1930)* Birth date done on date calculator.

Mrs. Math Schaefer died at her home on North Hewett Street on March 27, 1930 at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 16 days. Emma Silkey was born in the town of Lebanon, Dodge County, Wisconsin, where she grew to womanhood. On Dec. 13, 1892 she was united in marriage to Math Schaefer. They settled on a farm near Christie, living in that vicinity until 1919 when they moved to their present home in Neillsville.

Mrs. Schaefer was a woman of who it could be said, "To know here, was to love her." She was a good wife and loving mother, always doing what she could to help others. She was a member of the W. R. C. for several years.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Pearl, Mrs. Otto Runge of Christie; and one son George at home. Another son, Floyd, preceded her in death July 12, 1925 at the age of 21 years. She also leaves one grandson, Ardell Runge; four sisters, Mrs. Louisa Greeler and Mrs. John Groth of Neosho; Mrs. Joe Templar of Minnesota Junction and Mrs. Nick Schaefer of Neillsville; and two brothers, Henry of Christie and William of Oconomowoc, all of whom were here to attend the funeral, which was held Sunday at the home. Burial taking place in the family lot in Neillsville cemetery. Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiated.
