Winterer, Bernard A. (8 NOV 1899 - 7 Jul 1929)

Bernard Asa, son of Frank and Annie Winterer, was born in Hillsboro, Vernon Co., Wis., on Nov. 8th, 1899, and died at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., July 7th, 1929, aged 29 years, 7 months and 29 days. Deceased spent his younger days in Richland and Grant Counties, coming to Clark County at the age of fifteen, living with his parents on a farm in the town of Butler, where most of his life since then has been spent. A few months ago he rented and moved to a farm near Augusta, from which he entered the hospital for treatment June 29th. On July 1, 1922 he was married to Sylvia Kile, a schoolmate and daughter of near neighbors and lifelong friends of the family, with whose family he had grown up and was considered almost as a member. Besides the wife he is survived by the father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Everett Mick of Viola, Wis. and Salome Winterer of Butler, besides a large number of other relatives and a host of friends. The body was brought to the Bogumill Funeral Parlors on Sunday afternoon, where it was prepared for burial. The funeral was held at the parental home on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 10th, Rev. W. Bennetts of Thorp officiating as clergyman. Interment was made in the Butler Cemetery.
