Hinkelmann, Mary (29 November 1939 – 26 April 2022)

Mary Ann Hinkelmann, 82, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Mary was born on Nov. 29, 1939, to Anthony and Lauretta (Habeck) Zettler. She was a graduate of Colby High School, and married Alfred Hinkelmann on Sep. 21, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

She was a homemaker and had worked part-time at Figi’s for over 40 years.

Mary kept busy sewing many quilts for Trinity Lutheran Church, which then got donated to various charities. She also enjoyed her many bus trips and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharol Hinkelmann of Marshfield; sister, Janice (Dave) Fitzsimmons of Streator, Illinois; sister-in-law, Maxine, Zettler; and nephew, Brian Zettler of Burlington.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; brothers, Kenneth, Ronald and George Zettler; and niece, Holly Zettler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Kevin Hoogland will officiate; burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for Mary’s favorite charities.
