Riedel, Selma (28 JUN 1929)

Mr. Ralph Heinze and Miss Selma Riedel were united in marriage on Friday, June 28, 1929, at Mapleworks Lutheran Church, at 7:00 p.m., Rev. V. M. Keiper officiating.

The bridal pair was attended by Anita Riedel, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and Irma Wischulke, a friend, as maid of honor. The groom's attendants were Elmer Riedel, cousin of the bride, and Rudolph Riedel, a brother.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white georgette and wore a veil of white tulle and a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor and bridesmaid were attired in orchid crepe dresses and carried bouquets of peonies and ferns. The groom wore a dark suit and his attendants wore suits of gray mixture.

Following the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride's mother. The rooms were beautifully decorated in orchid and white.

The bride was born and lived all her life in the town of Lynn, Clark County, Wis. and at home assisting her mother. The groom, a son of Fred Heinze of Fremont, Clark County, has been assisting on farms in the vicinity of Granton for several years, and has proven himself a reliable and industrious young man.

The newlyweds planned a wedding trip to La Crosse and points in southern Minnesota, but owing to the sudden death of the groom's cousin, Ed Guk, the trip was postponed indefinitely.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Joiner and son, and Carl Nelson of Arpin, and Mr. and Mrs. John Prust of Spencer.
