Guk, Edward (22 OCT 1898 - 26 JUN 1929)

Edward Guk died suddenly at his home in the town of Lynn, Clark County, Wis., from an attack of heart disease. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Guk, and was born in the town of Lynn Oct. 22, 1898, and was therefor 30 years, 8 months and 4 days old at his death. He grew to manhood on the home farm and on Aug. 4, 1920 was married to Miss Emma Steinbach, and they went to farming on the place adjoining his father's farm. He was very industrious, a man of happy, cheerful disposition and liked by everyone who knew him. His death is particularly sad as he leaves his wife and four small children, the youngest a baby 2 months old. He leaves also his parents and six sisters.

The funeral was held in the Lutheran Church in Fremont Sunday and was one of the largest ever held for a resident of the town of Lynn.

The pallbearers were Oscar, Arthur and Clarence Neinas, Arnold Guk, Ralph Hein and Louis Grade.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Miller of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Erland Engstrom of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George Engstrom of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Johnson of Belvidere, Ill.; and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Helm and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Helm of Appleton.
