Gander, Marie (22 MAY 1928)

Mr. Ed Berger of South Bend, Indiana and Miss Marie Gander were united in marriage at Orangeville, Ill., at 10 o'clock a.m., May 22, 1928. Rev. Ernest Gander, the bride's brother, pastor of the Orangeville Reformed Church, officiated.

The groom was attended by Mr. Lester Smith of Plymouth, Wis., and Miss Esther Humke of Greenwood was maid of honor.

The bride, whose home was in Kentucky, has been boys' governess at the Indian School in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. for the past three years, her faithfulness and skill in her work winning the commendation of the school authorities and endearing her to the pupils and all others with whom she was associated. The groom has been an occasional visitor here and has made a favorable impression upon all whom he met. He is the owner of a mint farm at South Bend, where he and his bride will make their home after a wedding trip through Canada and the Eastern States.

Their many friends here wish them a happy and successful life.
