Neville, Philip (22 Jul 1869 - 25 Jan 1929)

Philip Neville, an old resident of Clark County, Wis., died at his home on the North Side in Neillsville, Friday morning, Jan. 25, 1929, his death being due to apoplexy.

Mr. Neville was born near Quebec, Canada, July 22, 1869. He came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Neville, to Clark County when he was four years old. He grew to manhood on the old farm in the town of Weston, and has lived in this locality practically all his life, except some time spent in working in Canada and the Dakotas. In early life he worked in lumber camps and at log driving on Black River, and engaged also in farming. Since his first stroke of apoplexy some three years ago, he has not been able to work.

He was industrious and upright in character, cheerful and pleasant in manner and well liked by all who knew him.

He was never married. He leaves three brothers and one sister: Mike in Alberta, Canada; James and William Neville in Neillsville; and Mrs. John Schmoll of Marshfield. One sister, Mrs. Robert Syth of Greenwood, died about ten years ago.

The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, Rev. Fr. Peter Weber officiating.
