Hoffmann, Cecelia (Marriage - 29 May 1926)

Mr. Bernhard Stahllhorn of Milwaukee and Miss Cecelia Hoffmann of Augusta were married in the Lutheran Church at Augusta Saturday evening, May 29. The bridesmaids were Miss Esther Berger of Neillsville and the bride’s sister, Miss Onidia Hoffmann. The groomsmen were two young men from Milwaukee, friends of the groom. It was a very pretty wedding. As a surprise to the bride, 20 members of the choir at Winona, Minn., drove over and sang at the wedding. For the past four years she has taught in the kindergarten department of the Lutheran School in Winona and sang in this choir and the arrival of these friends added much to the joy of the occasion. After the ceremony, a fine dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hoffmann, the visitors from Winona being included among the guests. Ice Cream and cake was also served in the house and on the lawn to parties of serenades.

The bride will be will remembered here. She taught one year in the primary department of St. John’s Lutheran School and made many friends in and around Neillsville.

The groom has a good position with the International Harvester Co. and the young couple will be at home in the near future at 398 Quincy Ave., Milwaukee.
