Greeler, Darlene (19 JUN 1927)

The Mapleworks Lutheran Church at Granton, Clark County, Wis. was the scene of a beautiful wedding June 19th, 1927, at 3:30 Sunday afternoon, when Miss Darlene Greeler, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greeler, of the town of York, Clark County, was united in marriage to Carl Storm, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Storm of Granton. Rev. Theo Martens performed the ceremony.

The church was prettily decorated with plants and flowers, Miss Adelda Garbush played the wedding march as the bridal procession entered the church. The bridal party was led by two ushers, Hugo Trimberger and Louie Helm, friends of the groom. Miss Myrtle Schwantes, a friends of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a peach colored georgette dress, trimmed with silk lace of the same color. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and snapdragon. Mr. George Greeler, brother of the bride, acted as best man. He wore a suit of navy blue. The groom wore a suit of navy blue also. The bride was dressed in white silk georgette, trimmed with rhinestones and silk lace. She wore a veil of white silk net with a wreath of white waxed flowers as a head band. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pink roses and lilies of the valley, tied on white silk ribbon.

After the ceremony, there was a reception and six o'clock dinner at the home of the bride's parents. The dining room was prettily decorated with pink and white crepe paper and white bells. The waitresses were: Minnie Buddinger, Hulda Henze, Ruth Northup and Erline and Elnora Uhlman. About 100 guests were served. A bountiful lunch was served again at midnight.

The newly married couple will make their home in Granton after July 1st. They left on a honeymoon trip Wednesday morning and will stop at Ripon, Beaver Dam, Neosho, Hayward, Ill., Milwaukee and Sheboygan.
