Scharf, Clara (15 JUN 1927)

A very pretty June wedding was celebrated at the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Granton, at 2 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 1927, when Miss Clara Scharf and Mr. Carl Scheeler were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. Polman officiating. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Edna Scharf and the groom's sisters, Misses Dorothy and Gertrude Scheeler. The groom was attended by Hans Amacher, Gilbert Wiedenhoeft and Bill Grottke.

The bride wore a white Canton crepe dress and carried a bouquet of red roses; the bridesmaids wore pink, tan and lavender crepe de chine and carried pink and white sweet pears.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Scharf, followed by a six o'clock dinner. The rooms were prettily decorated for the occasion.

The bride and groom are well known in this locality and have a host of friends who wish them much joy and happiness.

They spent their honeymoon at Fond du Lac, Milwaukee and through the southern part of the state.

The out of town folks who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Warleben of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Franz of Bloomer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gerth, Herb Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Goldamer and family of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weidenhoeft and family of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. August Schueler and Miss Minnie Schueler.
