John Boldt--1965

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for John Boldt, 82, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died Thursday in Neillsville. The Rev. E. G. Burtness of the Calvary Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in the Nekoosa cemetery.

Mr. Boldt was born June 29, 1882, in Tinley Park, IL, where he received his education. He farmed in the Tinley area and in LaPorte IN, before coming to Clark County in 1927. He had been engaged in farming in this area for the last 37 years.

On February 23, 1909, he was married to the former Marth Kranskie in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Boldt is survived by his wife; three children, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Meier of Neillsville, John, Jr., of Rt. 3, Neillsville, and Mrs. Ed (Florence) Hainz of Rt. 1, Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Dormann of Blue Island, IL; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildern.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.

"Asleep In Jesus" and "Abide With Me" were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Kathleen Galstad.

Pallbearers wre Arlo Lawson, Charles Neff, Jr., Urban Schmidt, Edison Mathis, Kenneth Kren and Louie Meier.

Those from away attending the services were: Mr;. and Mrs. Conrad Becker and daughter of Kenosha; Miss Jean Haines of Eau Claire; Miss Jean Hains of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glinski and son of Stratford.
