Grottke, Rose (1848 - 30 Nov. 1925)

Mrs. Albert Grottke died Monday night Nov. 30 at her home in the town of Grant, age 77 years. She had been sick for some time.

Mrs. Grottke whose maiden name was Rose Pavel, was born in Germany in 1848. She grew to womanhood there and was married to Albert Grottke. About 40 years ago they came to this country and settled on a farm in the town of Grant, east of Neillsville, which has been their home ever since.

Mrs. Grottke was a kind neighbor and a loving wife and mother. She leaves to mourn her death her aged husband and two sons, Charles who lives in Idaho and Ernest who lives near the parental home.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at St. Johns Lutheran church, Rev. Brandt officiating.
